What a mighty God we serve! Look where He has brought us from! Down through the years, the Lord has been good to us! He's brought us from a mighty long way! These are just a few songs that come to mind when I think about how long we have been in existence. If it had not been for the Lord on our side, tell me where where would we be?
Given the fact that the Church has been under much scrutiny over the past few years, it is a miracle that we are still here and are a powerful influence in the community. Think about the number of souls that have been saved, delivered, and set free from the bondages of sin. Many have been called to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ while serving in Mt. Olive M.B. Church, Bradley. This ministry of the church did not just start yesterday, but has been a moving force in this community (and in Brewster) ever since its inception.
As Pastor, let me encourage you to keep supporting the Church. No matter who decides to quit, you keep working! There is a reward for those who work and faint not. It is crucial that we stay together. The world is pulling after the Church to become more like it and saying "it don't take all of that". But the devil is still a liar.
Love is the key to staying together. We must not only show love but become love. Not just in word, but in deed. the world must see that we are who we say we are. It is more than just coming to the building, but it is a lifestyle that must be lived outside of the four walls. If we do this, then we can win more souls to Christ because our lives will be a testimony that Jesus is yet alive be He lives in us.
In His Love,
Pastor Eugene Kendrick
